They didn't want a pretty young thing with hamburger eye on the screen for any longer than they had to. I think that's pretty obvious.
I still thought the post fight interview with Gina was hysterical. "Was this a hard fight?" Gina: Uh no, not really... oh wait I mean...
ha! |

with that part totally agree, and i'm quite sure there will be improvements next CBS card, that was part of the learning curve, and you're right even many of the winners including Kimbo were not interviewed by Shamrock, but got the impression the Shamrock interviews were not part of the main show time constraints, so that was kinda weird. but i'm saying all the other issues with Kaitlin post-fight, the question is, were all the other (male) fighters who lost or injured treated this way, and even if they were, was uncalled for and someone there should have to answer for that kinda sh*t, and least a logical explanation or some consideration...

| He didn't do the interview with Gus Johnson. The other possibility is they may have intended to interview all the fighters but may have been concerned about time. They ran over anyway but may have wanted to avoid that and would have cut back interviews. I think they spent way too much time on those dancers, the pre fight blah blah blah and Busta Rhymes. CBS has acknowledged that the show could be tighter and they'll work on that for the next show. |

I already explained that you're not going to get a satisfactory explanation from bureaucrats covering their asses. Finger pointing is all you're going to get. _________________ My blog

We should still demand one. The more we push, the more it makes them look stupid. |

Question for Kaitlin. That gogoplata that Gina got on looked like it was sunk in pretty good. (although the technique wasn't quite Black belt level ) Were you in danger from that? Good job getting out of it in any event. |
Yes, it was sunk! It surprised the hell out of me! I wasn't expecting Gina to go for a gogoplata. She didn't have her left leg placed correctly, but the choke was there. I had started to make the weird wheezing noise before I was able to cut the corner and escape. |

he was so surprised, shocked and laughed his ass off saying
"these girls are insane, i cant understand them! but who can understand women?"
and he added " when she will fight next?" _________________ =^.^=_/ paw! |

You should be proud. Thats a battle wound well earnned. You go tigeress! All the more reason they should have let you go back and fight that third round!! You look tougher than nails. I like that big smile and thumbs up. What a great attitude. I talked to one guy who never saw mma before and he like the female fight far better than all the other fights!!! And he is a hardcore boxing fan no less. You did great to advance femma fighting Kaitlin!!!!

| Yesterday when I was wrapping my hands getting ready for kickboxing practice I over heard the guys talking about the show and they all agreed that the Carano vs. Young fight was the best fight and only real fight that whole night...I thought that was really amazing how they all agreed unanimously and were talking about how good the girls were (fighting wise)...so Congrats!!! The exposure has really opened the eyes to a lot of people and all the guys at the gym are waiting for the next female fight!!! |

| All the talk I heard from people who have never seen mma before agreed the female was one of the best of the show. They were impressed with how hard the women fought and how well they did fight. All in all lot of good positive feedback from non-mma fans who up untill CBS never saw a mma fight before. |
