About "TBA" on the card
There are 2 possibilities,
1) Usual Delay of ProElite
dont know why, but ProElite is different from their sister(Mother?) company Showtime`s Boxing section. Bad interface of the WEB site, slow and heavy videos, poor advertising. I always wonder why they dont use the web desighners, servers and advertisement team of Boxing for MMA section.
As we already know, Shayna will fight Tama-chan on April 5th ShoXC through Shayna`s MySpace, but there is no official announcement about the whole fight card yet. Still Shayna`s opponent is also "TBA" on the most of news sites.
2) Someone doesnt accept the fight YET for some reasons.
Its on CBS, not only for small MMA community like b4, a lot of ppl will watch from the weigh-in, cant cheat weig... oops
Eitherway, Only u can do now is concentrating to the fight, training and preparing well for May 31th. Even someone is pulled off from the fight, ur potential opponents will be Shayna, Tonya, Jullie, Cyborg, Jen Case(?), Tama-chan, or another Japanese fighter tak... oops shhhh. All tough ladies and real fighters/worriors.
You can make it, Tara with the belt of bodogFIGHT, Roxy with the belts of IFC and FFF, Molly with the belt of HCF(I HOPE) are waiting for ur calling out from the cage of EliteXC, Of course Shayna and Amanda are also there.
wow, what a hard debut on CBS  so

Gary Shaw has no input on who is a Gladiator or not. Erin got on the show on her own merits. If anything Shaw and NBC aren't likely the best of friends.
No one can be pissed at Kaitlin, why would she not take the fight? It should be a good fight I just want my fighter, whom I feel earned the right, to get the big CBS fight first is all. No beef with either of the fighters and in the end, Shayna will get her shot.

Yeah, I told the guy at MMA weekly that it wasn't for sure yet and we didn't have a bout agreement yet...but he decided to leave that out.
After I agreed to fight I was told to keep it hush hush....then the next morning it was on THEIR homepage....so when asked about it I confirmed that I accepted. The next day I was changed to "TBA". I don't think the fight is off, but I think they didn't have all of the loose ends tied up before announcing it and are now trying to back petal. Nothing I have been told by Elite has changed, just the web page. |

| Since Gina usually comes into her 140 lb fight long winded because of the weight cutting, and since Kaitlin seems walks around at 140 on top of being a conditioning freak and arguable a better striker, this doesn't look good for Gina. |

Congrats- good luck Kaitlin!
This should be an interesting match- I think that the one key difference with their stand up is that Kaitlin moves in and is able to finish her opponents. I'm not saying that Gina can't. It's just that some fighters "move in for the kill" more naturally then others and Kaitlin definatley has that quality. |
