congrats to Kaitlin. really believe this is the ideal matchup for the kickoff CBS show. and no matter who wins sets up many future great fights with all the other girls, either way it is a win win for both... |

| assuming if/when it is confirmed of course, as all sorts of things can change quite a bit between now and the actual card date.... |

| thnx would love to and looking forward to both eventually win or lose, although those are management issues. right now it's the current contracted girls' time with a bunch of matchups which still need to take place and then see where things stand once all the dust settles. like i said it's even a bit premature whether this fight will be confirmed, same as with Cris/Jen shit happens and various things can change, so we'll see... |

| There shouldn't be any visa issues here because they're both American citizens, I'd just hope that neither them come up with a dumb excuse not to fight. |

Thanks for the support you guys. I know there are some female fighters and coaches that are a little peeved about a fight this big being between Gina and I rather than Shayna, Tara, Amanda...or any other established and well rounded fighter. I hope nobody feels like they don't want to express their frustration with that because I'm on this forum. I wont take any offense and I understand where they are coming from.
I think stylistically, Gina and I are a great match up for a very exciting fight. I can't wait for this opportunity, and if someone does come up with a bullshit excuse I can guarantee that it wont be on my end. |

Congratulations and the best of luck to you Kaitlin! I don't think anyone blames you for accepting the fight (like anyone else would pass it up, given the chance!). While I would like to see Gina be tested by the best, I think this will be a great match up. And you guys do have the same number of MMA fights - on paper this looks pretty even.
Give her hell! |

Congrats!!!
You know what, I agree, I don't think anyone of us would have passed up a fight with someone well known on Prime time tv. That is huge exposure and hopefully it will help get more Female fights on these cards. Kick Butt kaitlyn!! |

Looks like proelite has changed Gina Carano vs Kaitlin Young to Gina Carano vs TBA
Maybe they jumped the gun by announcing it on their page. Hope it still works out. |

| So my conspiracy is that Gary Shaw had some input on this choice and is looking to set up a big money fight between Gina Carano & Erin Toughill afterwards. Hey, that's my conspiracy and I'm sticking to it. |
Personally, I think Toughill would toy with Carano in a standup fight; provided, of course, that she didn’t engage Carano in a slugfest. |
