My favorite technique is the "dragon whipping tail"..its Shao Lin King Fu and I picked it up from my sensei's master...Master Ingargiola out of Long Island NY...Shao Lin Self Defense Center. It is used to get out of a back bear hug ...ya blow ya body out to break or at least loosen their grip ..drop on your left knee..after ridge handing the groin and/or head butting...then swing your right leg around...hook their right leg..pin it and you are on top of their backs...then..you can smash their head in the pavement...or choke em out. Its a fifth degree manuever and I did it on my yellow belt test...Sensei said...do something..so it was the first to come to mind. Its pretty sweet to see it done especially by a small person on a big person. muahahahahahaha

"Ridge handing the groin". Nothing like adding a little sterility to make a game meaningful - and a possible social statement, to boot.

| fight4you...ya wouldnt use that in a match...its self defense...but something that is in my style of martial arts...just so happens to be my favorite. I do get rather nasty when we are told to modify and create on our own. God help you should you ever decide to mess with me on the street. I have earned the nickname of killer...and bulldog...lol. Guess I should stop playing so hard with the "boys" eh? |

well since I am neither a criminal nor a sociopath, i doubt you would find me 'messing with you on the street". do you run into people like that often where ever it is that you hang?
killer? bulldog? i bet that is not the way your dear old mom imagined you when you were a squirt.
regarding playing rough with the boys.... some guys like their peas and carrots mashed. to each his/her own. helps keeps the population in check, i guess, from a couple of different perspectives.

Spell out my favorite submission on this forum?
I don't think so.
a.) I can't even spell it.
b.) It may be the only chance I have against these fine women.
Ciao,

| I've gotta say, I like to grapple, but stand up will always be my forte. As far as that goes, I love legs kicks. Escpecially against people that don't fight Thai, since they can't stand them (oh...a pun). With my hands, I like to upper cut from jabbing range because few people expect it and it works. I usually follow that with an overhand right or even an elbow, depending on what would be allowed, of course. On the ground I like the triangle choke, though I rarely pull it off. |

Know any good triangle choke setups?
How about....What do you think is the best time to throw a low kick?
IMO, at the end of a combination. I like it when Ernesto Hoost throws a punching combination and then ends it by low kicking the far leg of his opponent (the back leg). That's a pretty cool trick because they usually lift their front leg. |

| So when any of you are on the top side of a "ground and pound", do you ever get worried and are hoping there will be a quick tapout or a descending ref? |
