| Did Gaff violate an unwritten rule or did she do what she had to? |
I have just watched the beginnings of several European WMMA fights on youtube and I would have to say that the “unwritten rule”, as we know it, does not appear to exist in Europe; at least not on the continent. Therefore, that which does not exist cannot be violated.
That having been said, I have serious doubts that Miss Gaff had any idea of what Jennifer Maia’s intentions were. Verdict: NOT GUILTY! |

| I must admit I've never touched gloves once the fight itself has started - I've already done it once, after all. I doubt I'd ever sucker punch an opponent if she obviously came out to touch gloves though. I don't know if fighting out of the UK makes any difference! |

Well, the punch was legal. "Defend yourself at all times" and what not.
However, I'm sorry but are there really no glove touches in European boxing or MMA? Even if that is the case, has Sheila Gaff never watched the UFC or an American boxing match? I find it very difficult to imagine that she did not recognize what Jennifer Maia was doing.
GUILTY (of being a dirty fighter)
What's ironic is Maia was doing the right thing in trying to avoid a cheapshot (use your non-power hand to touch and circle away from the opponent's power hand, assuming both are right-handed), but still got caught. |

| We will see how well she does against an opponent that comes out swinging. Especially one that is experienced and will not even think of touching gloves, after seeing that video of her last fight. I have a strong gut feeling she will be in the fight of her life. Especially if its Rosi smile. |

I would love to see the match between smile and Daly. Now that promises to be a real good fight. Those two are very good tough fighters. |

Interesting. Now it looks like tricked her opponent. Nice. This gets better and better. Thanks for the pic. |
