| The updated rankings for November are posted on page 1. As you can see, there was a massive shakeup in both the Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions. At Super Flyweight, Rin Nakai was removed for inactivity within the division....she is now being ranked at Featherweight. Also, with her impressive performance, Julia Budd breaks into the top-10. |

| Glad I'm not the one trying to sort this out. With Julia Budd having only one pro-fight but a good win I would have lost sleep trying to figure out what to do with her. I am not sold on Zoila as #1 at Flyweight. Sure she has a win over Megumi but 10-1 vs 22-1 is kind of hard to over look. Like I said glad it's not me. |

Zoila is a "lightning rod" for sure and no matter where she would have been ranked, there will be people who would disagree, however the fact of the matter is that regardless of how you think she got them....she has wins over the # 7, # 5 and # 1 ranked 115-lbers. |

There's definitely something a bit wonky down the far end of the 125 lbs rankings that needs looking at.
Monica Lovato is ranked at #8, yet has recent losses to both Barb Honchak and Windy Tomomi (both unranked). Jessica Eye at #9 with a record of 2-0 against 0-2 and 1-3 opponents is also a bit puzzling.
I'm also a little confused about Carina Damm at #2, but I guess the upcoming bout with Cat Zingano will take care of that one way or another... |

Hi Rosi - (Congrats again on your big win!) Monica's last loss against Windy Tomomi was at 115, so it didn't count against her ranking at 125. Jessica was either 6-0 or 7-0 against some pretty tough amateur competition, including a win over Barb Honchak, so we felt along with her 2-0 pro record, it give her a slight edge over some of the others. Also, the new rankings should be out in a day or so, and should address any other "wonkiness" that you may have mentioned. |

| Thanks for the explanation. I didn't realize that amateur records were taken into account. |

I didn't realise that either. I bet if I went and looked some one will probably have crafted a nice explanation that spells that out in precise detail that my laziness led me to miss.
Is taking the amateur record into account some thing that is due to be changed any where in the foreseeable future? With the low number of fights that some women have it makes sense but the bar has been rising. |

| Your both correct, amateur records aren't used in the rankings....but in this case when we had several girls with very similar records to chose from, we thought Jessica's amateur background gave her a slight edge over the others. |

| I also don't know how someone with a 1-0 record makes the top 10. Regardless of who they fought, it's still only 1-0. |

Depends on which division you're talking about. 115 and 135 are stacked with experienced fighters, whereas the other divisions aren't at that point....yet. |
