IFC IN SOUTH DAKOTA

i found out a few days ago that my teacher, Nathan Marquardt is fighting Jeremy Horn in august in south dakota on an IFC card. i know that IFC's commissioner feels strongly about putting women on his cards, has anyone heard about what females are gonna be on that card?

Ummm....no, I haven't heard for sure but the full card is supposed to be released after this holiday weekend. In 2003 IFC had four shows, three of which not only had women's fights but high-level news women's fights like Howe/Neff. The first women's fight in MMA was in an IFC. Paul may work on a shoestring budget but I have a *lot* of respect for him, along the lines of Monte and Miguel.

Just got word from Monte it is okay to reveal Jennifer Howe is on the card! No word on opponent yet but I expect the full card to be revealed in the next couple of days. He also said something about her fighting in Anchorage, Alaska but I don't have details at this time. As soon as I know you will too.

Thanks a million for the info! truth to tell, it wouldn't matter if the Marquardt / Horn match was the only fight, i would still pay a kidney to go see it. but Howe does make for nice icing!

I heard that Howe would be on the card as well. I am in Sioux Falls, SD and the promoter of the event held regularly here in town (although he's not really the most reliable source) also said they are still looking for an opponent and that they are having a hard time finding someone to accept a fight with Howe. I hope with everything in me that there is a good female fight on the card, I'm planning on being there either way though.........the Sturgis biker rally RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- with or without MMA being there.

According to the official Sturgis website Jennifer is facing Jaqueline Andrade! August 15th is case you haven't heard.

Card is out. Jennifer/Jaqueline plus a womne's kickboxing fight. Looks like I'm going. Anybody else? Yes, I'm trying to talk my motorcycle riding, former judo training mother into going too. If she does make it on the bike y'all have no excuse.

Sorry, I'm out. Since I believe Jennifer/Andrade won't happen I'd rather save my money and hit Brazil at the end of the month. There are other factors but the deciding one was the women's fight. Maybe we can make up for it at HOOKnSHOOT...
